Many Wait In Line for President Obama Rally Tickets

People waited in line for hours in Fairfax City to get tickets to see President Obama at Centreville High School on Saturday.

The Fairfax Office for the Obama Campaign had 750 tickets for the Rally on Saturday.  They did not need all the tickets from the Falls Church Office, so they brought over 60 tickets.

One of the volunteers for the campaign said President Obama is doing the rally "to tell the honest story, the truth."

Another campaign volunteer said President Obama was going to talk about the "Economy, Healthcare, and things important to local Virginians."

The line was very long.  It went around the building almost twice.  There were thousands of people.  The line was taking forever.

The first person on line from Eric, 17, from Ashburn.  He came out at 9:00am in the morning.

Madison, 10, from Centreville said she came out "to encourage people to vote for Obama."  Her sister Lexy, 7, said she wanted to see President Obama speak "because he was a good President."

The volunteers sent people to the Falls Church office because there was a better chance of getting tickets there because there were not as many people.  But by the time people got there, they had already sent over tickets to the Fairfax Office.

After a few hours waiting on line, the volunteers said that most people are not going to get tickets.  Many people were let down.  If you were not here before 5:00pm, you did not get tickets.

The sun was setting and people were still waiting. The only reason I knew this because I was still in line.

Cienna, 13, from Oak Hill said, "If you don't get a ticket, you still get a front row seat at your tv at home."

After all these hours waiting, I did not get tickets.  It was a big let down.  Hopefully one day all those people that were still waiting on line will get to meet President Obama.
