CENTREVILLE, VA — Several people were injured Wednesday in a four-alarm fire at a senior living facility in the 14400 block of Woodmere Court in Centreville, according to acting Fairfax County Fire chief John Caussin. Two people were transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and three were treated at the scene for minor injuries, according to fire officials.
Firefighters arrived at the scene around 1 p.m. and found fire shooting from the third level and into the attic. About 75 units were evacuated.
A third alarm was requested before the fire was brought under control. Residents were taken to a nearby recreation center, and the Red Cross is on hand.
