• NEW: Fairfax County proposes high school crossing guard funding, safety improvements (ffxnow.com) — Centreville families should know Fairfax County may restore a crossing guard at Centreville High School and add illuminated overhead pedestrian crossing signs there, as part of a $707,908 proposal to improve safety at 10 high schools. The plan follows several recent student-involved crashes and could bring new beacons, lighting, and traffic changes near schools while longer-term funding debates continue.
