87 Dancers Will Take the Floor for Thousands

By special invitation, 87 dancers from Creative Dance Center’s 6 Time World Championship Competition Team perform simultaneously at halftime for players, staff, and thousands of fans at the Patriot Center for the George Mason University vs. Old Dominion University’s Basketball Game, 7:30PM, Wednesday, December 3rd, 2014. As choreographed by Chantilly’s talented Staci Frye and Jamie Frye, this Competition Team performance of “Riverdeep” features 87 area dancers, ages seven to high school seniors representing Loudoun, Fairfax, and Prince William Counties.

Housed in Chantilly’s own Creative Dance Center Studios, the CDC*CT competes approximately 220 dances annually both on national and regional levels in jazz, lyrical, tap, modern, contemporary, musical theater and open categories under the direction of Ms. Ginny Frye. In 2014, the Creative Dance Center Competition Team won 6 World Championships at the World Dance Championships. CDC*CT earned its way to the World Championships by qualifying with top score in a division at regional and national competitions held by the members of the Star Dance Alliance, including Nexstar Talent and Starpower. In addition to the world championships, CDC*CT earned two Power Ranking appearances on the regional level, five Victory Cups, and 39 National Championship Titles at the 2014 Nexstar National Dance Competition in Sandusky, Ohio.
