Chantilly Academy GymStars have Level 6 & 7 State Meet Medalists

The weekend of March 31 & April 1^, gymnasts from Chantilly Academy GymStars Gymnastics competed with over 500 gymnasts from around the state at the Level 6 & 7 Virginia USA Gymnastics State Championships held in Chesapeake, VA at Oscar Smith High School. 

The CA GymStar Level 7 State Qualifiers were Lydia Lodge, Sonya Spiewak, Hallie Nichols, Melody Bathaee, Corina Gribble, Kelly Jackson, Stephanie Weir, Natalie Weaver, Katarina Jones and Ashley Williams. The Level 7's competed on Saturday and three GymStars had top three finishes. Lydia Lodge placed third on the vault for the 12 Sr. Group, Natalie Weaver placed third on floor exercise for the 13 Jr. Group, and Hallie Nichols tied for second on floor exercise for the 14-year-old Group.

The CA GymStars Level 6 State Qualifiers were Brenna Lawrence, Rose McLaughlin, Emma Nocera, Jenna Shuey, Hanna Cook, Lindsay Wilson, Ashlynn Marlin and Madison Smith.  Two of the Level 6 GymStars placed in the top three within their age groups.  Madison Smith place third on balance beam in the 14-year-old Group and Emma Nocera placed third on floor exercise in the 11 Sr. Group.

Last weekend, our GymStars competed in the Level 9 Region 7 Championships in Chesapeake, VA on April 14-15.  That same weekend Chantilly Academy Gymnastics is hosted the VAUSAG Level 4 & 5 Multi Level Sectional, a Virginia State Qualifier. 

On April 21-22, our Level 10 GymStars will travel to Parkettes National Training Center in Allentown, PA for the Level 10 Region 7 Championships, while the Level 4s travel to Chesapeake for the Ocean Tumblers Spring Fling.
