More than 100 dancers from Chantilly's Creative Dance Center Competition Team will head to nationals in Ohio next month.
"At our last nationals in June 2012, we brought 14 national titles home to Chantilly," said the dance center's Cheri Est, in an email to Patch.
In other news, two CDC*CT dances, "Falling Slowly" and "Love You" are nominees for the KAR TV 2013 Dance Awards and Benefit Show that will be held in Las Vegas July 3.
CDC*CT premier choregraphers, Jamie Frye and Staci Frye, received a nomination for "Choreographers of the Year" for their work on "Falling Slowly," and "Love You" cast and choreographers, also Jamie Frye and Staci Frye, received a nomination for Best Lyrical / Contemporary Performance of the year.
Winners will be announced July 3 in Las Vegas. Several other CDC*CT dancers were named in "Outstanding Performances for 2013. See more nominees: http://kartvdanceawards.com/2013/nominees
