Fairfax Academy Students Competed Monday in Police, Crime Scene Investigations

Students learned from police.

Nearly 100 Fairfax County Criminal Justice Academy high school students competed Monday in a series of exercises designed to test their skills and capabilities for future careers in law enforcement.

The event took place at the Academy, located at 14601 Lee Road in Chantilly.

  • Dragging dummies and climb walls as part of a unique obstacle course
  • Processing mock crime scenes and trying to determine a suspect based on evidence they’ve gathered.
  • Developing composite sketches based on an altercation they’ll witness and describe.
