Host Families needed for 10-day Austrian Home Stay and Cultural Exchange

Wanted: Host families for 10 day Austrian home stay October 20-29. Each October, Fairfax County welcomes a group of visiting high school students from a technical school in Kaindorf, Austria. This year there will be 26 students and 2 teachers arriving on October 20. They will be staying only 10 days, until October 29.At this time we are looking for host families for several of the students.

The students and teachers come to learn about our culture and way of life and to share their culture with us. They are involved in planned activities during the week, but they will have evenings and weekends to spend with their host family. All students speak English and have submitted a personal profile with a contact email so that families can communicate with the student prior to arrival; private rooms are not necessary--shared rooms are ok! All host families will have access to an emergency contact.In the event of a medical emergency, seek treatment for the student and then contact the group leader/trip organizer.

Families should expect to provide breakfast and dinner during the week. Transportation responsibilities are minimal as students will primarily be using public transport during their stay.
