House Fire Kills Man In Chantilly: Police

A man killed during a house fire Monday in Chantilly has been identified as 64-year-old Charles Petrello: Fairfax County Police.

CHANTILLY, VA—A man killed during a house fire Monday in the 4100 block of Mount Echo Lane has been identified as 64-year-old Charles Petrello, according to Fairfax County Police. Another male resident of the house was taken to the hospital with injuries that weren't life threatening.

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue responded to the scene shortly after 10:30 a.m. The fire was extinguished and Petrollo was found inside. Authorities say the fire was accidental and started in a bedroom. It was caused by improperly discarded smoking materials.
