Iron Bow Wins $120 Million Contract

Iron Bow Technologies won a $120 million contract to improve the Social Security Administration's network infrastructure.

The Chantilly information technology solutions provider will provide Cisco networking and other support services to the SSA, according to Iron Bow.

Iron Bow will end up saving the SSA millions of dollars by providing the new technology that operates faster with less energy.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to work with the Social Security Administration to provide a more robust network infrastructure, essential to the timely delivery of critical services,” said Rene LaVigne, president and CEO of Iron Bow Technologies, in a prepared statement. “Our contract with the SSA will bring best-in-class network solutions to the agency designed to decrease recurring costs, increase energy efficiency and enable advanced capabilities.”

Iron Bow representatives said the federal government is making these changes to other departments to increase communication, facilitate telework initiatives and cut operational expenses.
