The Learning Experience,Chantilly, Enters AdvancED Accreditation Candidate Process

FAIRFAX, VA (May 24, 2017) — The Learning Experience, Chantilly, a local award-winning preschool, hosted an AdvancED Readiness Review Team on May 17, 2017 and earned the status of AdvancED Candidate. The AdvanceED Readiness Review team found The Learning Experience Chantilly has the capacity to meet the standards required to earn accreditation, earning its title as an AdvancED Candidate. Over the next several months, staff at The Learning Experience, Chantilly will prepare to host the AdvancED External Review Team to review the school's adherence to the AdvancED Accreditation Standards and to earn the accredited status. Child Care Aware and NACCRRA recognize AdvancED candidates, making The Learning Experience, Chantilly a member of NACCRRA’s online directory of qualified military child care providers.

To earn AdvancED Accreditation, schools must: 1) meet the AdvancED Accreditation Standards; 2) implement a continuous process of improvement; and 3) host an External Review team once every five years. As a part of the accreditation process, a team of trained professionals from across the nation will review The Learning Experience, Chantilly, documents and performance data; interview stakeholders; conduct a site review; and observe school practices in action.
