Park Employee Stabs Caterer to Death After Argument: Police
Police say they had been arguing throughout the night.

A Fairfax County Park Authority employee stabbed a caterer to death after getting into an argument at the end of an event Saturday night at Ellanor C. Lawrence Park in Chantilly, according to Fairfax County Police.
Police arrested 19-year-old Kempton A. Bonds of Clifton, who was a seasonal employee with the Fairfax County Park Authority, for allegedly fatally stabbing 35-year-old Tyonne D. Johns, who was pronounced dead after being rushed to the hospital, the police report states.
Police say that Bonds got into an argument earlier in the evening with Johns, who was the caterer for an event at the park at 5235 Walney Road.

"As the event came to an end, the verbal altercation continued, and the suspect, the Park Authority employee, apparently stabbed the victim with a knife," the statement adds, noting that the stabbing happened at around 10:50 p.m.
Police recovered the knife at the scene and held it as evidence. Bonds has been charged with second-degree murder and is being held without bond. He has also been terminated from his position pending the outcome of the investigation, according to the report.
