Preschoolers Put Community Principles into Action at The Learning Experience in Chantilly / South Riding

Preschoolers at The Learning Experience in Chantilly / South Riding show that being charitable should not be reserved just for the holidays. With the nation’s first early education program designed to teach Preschoolers the value of community, empathy and giving back, The Learning Experience in Chantilly teaches children that it’s not how big or small you are, it’s the size of your heart that matters most. A variety of community causes are supported throughout the year and this winter, they focused efforts on their annual Toys for Tots campaign and Coat Drive. Children began the toy and coat drive in early December and wrapped up the efforts with over 50 donated toys and 45 coats. “We are always looking for real and tangible ways to teach children the power of community and giving. By supporting these local causes, they learn first-hand how they can help others and have a positive impact in their world,” said Judy McClimans, Center Director of The Learning Experience in Chantilly / South Riding.
