Preschoolers raise $750 for charity!

The 4th annual fall festival at The Learning Experience in Chantilly / South Riding included seasonal activities for kids of all ages, face painting, pumpkin decorating, and… philanthropy. Classrooms and families donated to the annual Cake Walk and Basket Raffle and raised over $500 at the Fall Festival! With an additional donation from TLE Chantilly, a grand total of $750 was given to the Wounded Warrior Project! Go Team TLE Chantilly!

Every year The Learning Experience (TLE) holds their community-wide, free fall festival on the next to last weekend in October. It is a wonderful time where families with children in ages from Infants to Preschooler and older get to enjoy fall activities in the TLE Chantilly’s school and playground. In addition to the seasonal fun, TLE Chantilly also dedicates the event to raising money for a charitable cause, the Wounded Warrior Project.

This focus on helping others is an extension of The Learning Experience’s curriculum that includes a philanthropy program. With the philanthropy curriculum, TLE Chantilly’s goal is to teach young learners that they can make a difference in the world around them. This is accomplished by monthly philanthropic these that teach preschoolers the values of selflessness and giving back to their communities. These values are brought to life as children are involved in charity and various acts of kindness. The annual Fall Festival is just one way to support their community. “The Learning Experience® is always looking for real and tangible ways to teach children the power of community and giving. Supporting this cause was a perfect fit and the children really made a connection by helping other children,” said Judy McClimans, Center Director of The Learning Experience in Chantilly / South Riding.
