Report: CDC Officials Could Be Deployed to Airports, Including Dulles, to Help Combat Ebola
NBC News reports a plan calls for health officials to meet passengers arriving from western Africa at Dulles Airport and other airports.

CDC personnel may be deployed to U.S. airports — including Dulles International Airport in Northern Virginia — as a precaution to combat Ebola, according to a report by NBC News’ Andrea Mitchell.
Mitchell said on “Meet the Press” that the Obama administration is strongly considering deploying CDC or other personnel to major airports to assess passengers arriving from western Africa. The highly contagious virus has caused more than 3,000 deaths there.
The program’s new host, Chuck Todd, said if officials monitored passengers at four airports — JFK, Dulles, O’Hare and Newark — it would get a large majority of passengers flying into the country from west Africa.

CDC officials met a plane in Newark over the weekend, after a passenger displayed Ebola-like symptoms.
Last week, the country’s first Ebola case was confirmed in Texas, and officials there say more than 100 people who came in contact with the patient are considered at risk. The patient is in critical but stable condition and is being treated with an experimental drug, the Dallas Morning News reported.
