Small Fire Temporarily Closes Chantilly Walmart Wednesday Night

Appears to be intentionally set, Fairfax County Police tells WTOP.

A small fire temporarily closed a Walmart store Wednesday evening in Chantilly, at 4368 Chantilly Shopping Center Dr., the store manager said Wednesday night.

The fire and heavy smoke led store management to evacuate the store at about 6:20 p.m. for about 30 minutes, she said. The store is open 24 hours a day.

A spokesman for the Fairfax County Police told WTOP that it appears the fire was intentionally set but investigators are still looking into it.
