The Amazing Brain Day

In honor of brain awareness week, Northern Virginia LearningRx centers are hosting The Amazing Brain, a morning of free events and activities geared toward educating and exciting homeschool kids (ages 5 and up) about their brains on March 13th from 11am-1pm at their NOVA locations. Brain awareness week is a public information campaign created in 1996 by the Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives to focus on public attention on the importance of the brain and brain research. Activities and Events will include:
• Brain Olympics – compete in a brain-athlon putting your mental skills to the test.
• Food for Thought – learn about foods that fuel our noggins and try some brain food.
• Brain Trivia – Hear about parts of the brain and what they do and make a brain hat to take home.
• Brain Training – Try some mental push-ups with a LearningRx certified brain trainer.
• Tour – Parents are welcome to a tour while their children participate.
