Zero Gravity Experience Coming to Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly
Virtual reality exhibit featuring Oculus Rift DK2 will allow participants to tour spacecraft from Interstellar film.

Chantilly is one of the few places in the world where audiences will get to experience a “zero gravity-like” exhibit next month, called Oculus Rift DK2. (The only other places getting this experience are in L.A., New York and Houston.) Here’s more about it and it’s connection with a new film:
Paramount Pictures has partnered with IMAX® to create the Oculus Rift DK2. This virtual reality experience gives fans the opportunity to journey inside the Interstellar film and tour the Endurance spacecraft. This truly immersive exhibit enables visitors to feel like they are floating in zero gravity when wearing the special DK2 headsets. The exhibit will be free and open to the public starting Thursday, Nov. 6 through Nov. 20.
Interstellar stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, Ellen Burstyn, John Lithgow and Michael Caine. The premise of the film? With our time on Earth coming to an end, a team of explorers undertakes the most important mission in human history: Traveling beyond this galaxy to discover whether mankind has a future among the stars. Directed by Christopher Nolan, written by Jonathan Nolan and Christopher Nolan, and produced by Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Lynda Obst.
