• Chase City man held in Saturday shooting (sovanow.com) — A Chase City resident is recovering after being shot in the chest Saturday night at a home on Virginia Avenue, with a 19-year-old suspect now jailed without bond. Police say the investigation is ongoing, the victim’s condition is unknown, and they’re asking anyone with information to call the Chase City Police Department.
