CNN Ranks Arlington Among Top-Earning 'Cities,' Best Places to Live

Arlington has been ranked as one of the top-earning "cities" and one of the top places to live in the country by CNN’s Money Magazine.

Arlington County ranked No. 11 on the "top-earning towns" list, reporting one of the highest median family income levels — $132,580 — in the United States for 2011, according to CNN. Bethesda, Md., ranked No. 1 and Ashburn ranked No. 6.

Arlington also ranked No. 45 on the “best places to live” list. The CNN article hails Arlington’s close proximity to Washington and its “wealth of employment options” as reasons for the ranking. to live at No. 7. Centreville came in at No. 17; Ashburn, at No. 30.
