On Wednesday March 23rd, hundreds of young professionals from Arlington and the Metro/DC area will gather for an evening of fun and fundraising in support of the Arlington Young Democrats’ (AYD) and a local charity. The 10th Annual AYD Charity Date Auction will feature an all-star line up of auctionees and prizes presented by the hilarious auctioneering of Liz Chadderdon and Levar Stoney. Celebrity auctionees include: Congressman Jim Moran, Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Congressman Tom Perriello, and former DNC Chair Terry McAuliffe.
AYD will donate half the event proceeds to help the homeless. Much more than a charity, the Arlington Street People's Assistance Network (A-SPAN) secures permanent housing for one of the Capitol region's most vulnerable populations. www.a-span.org
