Wednesday: Rustico Ballston to Host Happy Hour for Operation Backpack

Want to help homeless or low-income students get school supplies?

Don't bother going to the head of the class. Instead, head toward Rustico Ballston from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday for a happy hour in support of Volunteers of America Chesapeake's Operation Backpack.

Operation Backpack is a campaign to raise money and school supplies for disadvantaged youth in Virginia, Maryland and DC.

Rustico will donate a percentage of Wednesday's happy hour sales to the cause. Also, patrons can bring in school supplies, backpacks or a cash donation and get a free appetizer, according to the event flier.

Rusitco Ballston is at 4075 Wilson Blvd.
