UPDATE: Missing Girl Found

Update 12:56 p.m. Police announced that Kanissha Bowles was found and is safe.

Original post: A 13-year-old Dale City girl was reported missing when she didn't come home after school on Monday.

Police said Kanissha Shawnaya Bowles, 13, of the 3900 block of Findley Rd., was last known to be at a friend's house in the 14700 block of Darbydale Rd. She left the friend's home at about 3:30 p.m. on Monday to go home, but didn't arrive at home.

Prince William County Police spokesman Jonathan Perok said no foul play is suspected in Bowles's disappearance. Police believe she is somewhere in the Dale City area.

Bowles is described as a black female, 5-foot-2, 116 pounds, thin build, with shoulder length black hair, typically in a ponytail, and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray and black short sleeve shirt, blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and possibly a brown jacket.
