• FDNY Squad 252 fire truck, recovered from 9/11, arrives at Prince William County government complex (insidenova.com) — Prince William County is displaying a recovered FDNY Squad 252 fire truck from 9/11 at the government complex in Woodbridge through Sept. 18, with a major remembrance ceremony on Sept. 10. Dale City residents are also spotlighted, as the Americans in Wartime Experience plans a future museum in Dale City that will feature this engine and a dedicated 9/11 exhibit.
   

• Bright Green Fireball Lights Up Sky Over Southern Maryland, Reports Stretch Across Mid-Atlantic (thebaynet.com) — Early Wednesday around 2:38 a.m., at least one Dale City resident's camera captured a bright flash matching a vivid green fireball seen across Southern Maryland, Northern Virginia, and D.C. With no reported damage, astronomers are seeking more local videos and reports to better track the meteor's path and understand whether anything reached the ground.
   

• VFW Remembers Those Killed 25 Years Ago (vfw.org) — Dale City's VFW Post 1503 plays a poignant role in remembering Navy Storekeeper 3rd Class Jamie Lynn Fallon, who grew up in the post community and died in the 9/11 Pentagon attack.
