Dale City Woman Killed in Rt. 7 Accident

A Dale City woman died in a traffic accident on Rt. 7 in Fairfax County on Monday afternoon.

that Kil Sun Flom, 59, was struck by a petroleum pumper truck after she exited her vehicle on the highway.

Fairfax County Police said Flom was attempting to merge from the right lane of Leesburg Pike into the center lane when her Acura TL collided with the truck. She pulled slightly forward, exited her vehicle and stepped in front of the truck, but below the driver’s line of sight. The driver, moving forward with the flow of traffic, could not see Flom and she was hit by the truck, Crash Reconstruction detectives determined.
