My husband and I went to the Chinn Center library in Woodbridge, VA to return some books that our daughter had checked out. I hadn’t been in the Chinn Center library for about a year. Although I have been to the Lake Ridge Neighborhood Library.
The selection of books on tape (CD’s), audiobooks, was much bigger than the last time I was in the library. The music CD selection was very large, which was a big surprise to me.

While walking around to find some books from my favorite authors, I found some flyers laying around the library. The one that caught my eye was talking about eBooks. Of course I had to pick it up and read it! Oh my gosh! I was in heaven—I couldn’t believe what I was reading! You can check out books from the comfort of your own home and not have to go to the library to pick it up?!?
Checking out eBooks to your Kindle is so easy to do. You can follow the directions on the flyer or follow the direction on the library website.
There are so many benefits to using the eBooks. The biggest one for me is that I won’t need to take a ton of books with me when I travel. I can take my Kindle or use the Kindle App on my iPad. All you need is an Internet connection. The library has some of their own benefits:
**No fines, or overdue fees apply to eBooks.
**You can have 5 eBooks checked out at one time.
*You can place up to 10 eBooks on hold (the non-pickup of holds fee doesn’t not apply to eBooks)
**EBooks check out for your choice of 7, 14 or 21 days but can be “returned” early.
**After the checkout period, eBooks will expire automatically and not be available on your device.
*EBooks cannot be renewed, but if not one is on hold for an eBook, it can be checked out again after it is returned.
**You cannot download eBooks on a library Computer.
