invites everyone 15 years and older who are interested in becoming a lifeguard to a three-day course with the Ellis & Associates International Lifeguard Training Program. Participants will learn the fundamental skills needed to become a lifeguard. After students have passed the skills screening test consisteing of 200 yards of continuous swimming, a surface dive into deep water to retrieve a 10-pound brick, and treading water for 2 minutes without the use of their hands, they will recieve certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR/PR, AED, and First Aid.
There is a $235 fee for this program and discounts will not be given to those already certifited in CPR and/or First Aid.
The course will be held from 4-9 p.m. on March 2 and from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on March 3 and 4.
