<p>Tessa Yates and Madisyn Sarvis, the two Dale City girls who decided to to donate coats to the Prince William County Salvation Army, finished the drive on Saturday. They collected a total of 374 winter coats, including:</p> <ul> <li>76 girls' coats</li> <li>83 men's Coats</li> <li>89 ladies' Coats</li> <li>99 boys' Coats</li> <li>19 brand new coats to be donated to children for Christmas through the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program</li> </ul>

<p>The George M. Hampton Foundation is proudly presenting this year's Gene Montague Memorial 5K. The fun run/walk will be from 8:30 am - 10:30 am at Occoquan Park in Lorton. Funds raised will go toward the Foundation's scholarships for local high school seniors, support of mentoring programs (Omega U) and for fundraising support to health initiatives, such as the American Diabetes Association's Step Out. Registration is $45 up to August 29th and a race shirt is included. Registrations after August 29th are $50 and a race shirt IS NOT guaranteed. Come out and have a great time in support of a great foundation and a worthy cause!</p>
