Hylton Downs Colonial Forge

The Hylton Bulldogs beat Bill Brown's Colonial Forge Eagles 28-14 Friday night on the strength of a potent rushing game and a forceful defensive showing.

Hylton quarterback Travon Lewis rushed for 175 yards and a touchdown and threw for another touchdown. Lewis was 2 of 8 on passing attempts for 59 yards. Running back Josh Redfearn added a rushing touchdown and 79 yards on the ground. Wide receiver Jaleel Dukes caught two passes for 59 yards and a touchdown.

Hylton's defense allowed only 113 yards of total offense and two touchdowns while forcing six fumbles and recovering four for turnovers. Linebacker E.J. Levenberry led the team with seven tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
