Poll: Will You Use the Winter Farmers Market?

With the Dale City Farmers Market set to stay open year-round, will you go to the market this winter?

There are fewer customers and vendors at the now than during the height of the growing season in early summer, but this year, the market won't close for the winter.

The Prince William Park Authority had announced in July that the market would stay open until Dec. 11, in response to requests from vendors and customers. Now, the market will be open all winter, with modified hours.

The market is open every Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Dale City Commuter Lot at Dale Boulevard and Gemini Way. Starting Dec. 18, the market will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Sunday.

Betty Finney, the market's organizer, told InsideNova.com that five vendors have signed up for the winter market so far, but that number could grow as applications were just sent out.

Will you brave the cold to go to the farmers market this winter, or is it not worth it for the fewer vendors and less produce?
