Schools to Host Special Ed Workshops
The workshops will help parents, educators and community members understand the special education process in Prince William County Public Schools.

A series of workshops in October will help parents and others understand the special education process in Prince William County Public Schools.
The PWCS Special Education Parent Resource Center will host three workshops for parents, educators, and community members. Registrants can attend one, two, or all three sessions.
The sessions are:

- Understanding Special Education: School Intervention, Referral, Evaluation, and Eligibility will take place on Thursday, October 13.
- Understanding Special Education: Parents as Partners in the I.E.P. Process will take place on Thursday, October 20.
- Understanding Special Education: Parental Rights in Dispute Resolution will take place on Thursday, October 27.
All sessions will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Conference Rooms 2002 and 2004 on the second floor of the Kelly Leadership Center. Parent Resource Center Coordinators will present.
There is no charge for attending the workshops; however preregistration is encouraged. Individuals requiring accommodations, such as sign or foreign language interpreter services, are asked to preregister one week prior to the scheduled workshop.
