Strasburg Dominates at Pfitzner
Stephen Strasburg struck out five in three innings for the Potomac Nationals Friday night.

Stephen Strasburg and his 98-mph fastball wowed a sellout crowd at Pfitzner stadium Friday night as Strasburg recorded five strikeouts in three scoreless innings for the Potomac Nationals.
The P-Nats beat the Myrtle Beach Pelicans 1-0 on right fielder Archie Gilbert's sixth-inning RBI single, but it was Strasburg that fans were there to see.
ESPN has video of Strasburg's action at the Pfitz, and the Prince William County area got something of a compliment from ESPN analyst George Smith, who said there was an "unbelievable atmosphere at the ballpark" in Woodbridge.

In three innings, Strasburg threw 33 pitches, including 26 strikes. He allowed only two hits, both singles.
Left-hander Evan Bronson (4-3) was the winning pitcher for Potomac, taking over for Strasburg in the fourth and throwing four innings of scoreless ball. Josh Smoker was credited with a hold, pitching two outs in the eighth inning, and Hector Nelo pitched the last four outs for his 15th save of the season.
