Adoptable Alexandria Pet: Bulldog With A Big Heart
YoYoMa nursed newborn puppies that weren't her own in the shelter. Now she's looking for her own loving family.

If you're looking for a new companion, consider starting your search at a local rescue group like Operation Paws for Homes. The volunteer group rescues dogs from overcrowded "high-kill" shelters in the southern U.S., primarily in Virginia and North and South Carolina. Operation Paws for Homes then rehabilitates the dogs and places them in loving homes. The group also partners with local humane shelters.
One of their available pets is YoYoMa, an American Bulldog mix that nursed another dog's newborn puppies in a shelter. Thanks to her loving care, the puppies are healthy and have found homes.
Now YoYoMa needs a home of her own. She'd do well in a home with kids but not small pets.

Here's a description of YoYoMa from Operation Paws for Homes:
Hi there, my name is YoYoMa and I am looking for some belly rubs! Check out my featured adoption video here!
I am about 2 years old, 59 lbs., and an American Bulldog mix.
- housebroken in my current home
- crate trained
- knows basic commands
- pretty low energy
- enjoys a good walk
- food motivated and learns well with treats
- loves a good cuddle.
- small animals like birds and cats are tempting and probably not a good idea
See YoYoMa's full profile and check out her fun adoption video below.
