Adoptable Alexandria Pets: Best Friends Nugget And Lil Bit

ALEXANDRIA, VA — For pets at Alexandria's animal shelter, the best New Year's resolution is finding a new home.

For instance, Nugget and Lil Bit are two adoptable cats who are coming out of their shells and ready to make new friends. These cats are best friends, but they're ready to add to their Best Friends Club.

The Animal Welfare League of Alexandria has virtual appointments available at AlexandriaAnimals.org/Adopt-By-Appointment. AWLA is open Dec. 31 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. by appointment only and closed on Jan. 1.

These handsome gents have spent their time at the AWLA coming out of their shell, and they are ready to mingle. First you'll be greeted by 2-year-old Lil Bit, who will be happy to weave around your ankles and bump your hand for attention, but when his friend, 7-year-old Nugget, sees the cuddle party in action, he's sure to join in!
As the younger of the duo, Lil Bit is all about the toys, from crinkle balls to feather wands, but Nugget knows there are finer things in life, like many, many comfy beds. But the one thing this duo agrees on is that they can't wait to expand their Best Friends Club in 2022.
