Alexandria Man Accused Of Dumping 1,000 Tires In DC
DC police say the person dumped the tires in and around a stream.

WASHINGTON, DC—An Alexandria man has been charged for dumping over 1,000 tires in DC, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Police obtained an arrest warrant and took Deron Winston McDonald, 56, of Alexandria into custody Wednesday. He was charged with an illegal dumping offense.
The man is accused of dumping all the tires in the 4000 block of E Street SE back in November. Police believe auto shops paid McDonald to throw out their used tires. But rather than properly throw the tires away, he reportedly took a stolen vehicle and dumped the tires in a stream and bank of the stream, The Washington Post reported.
