Alexandria Man Has Laid-Back Reaction To Winning Lottery
His family's reaction wasn't nearly as calm.

Perhaps everyone responds differently when striking gold in the lottery. For one Alexandria man, his reaction was calm, cool and collected.
Julio Martinez Centeno, a maintenance supervisor, recalls calmly scratching a $250,000 winning ticket in the Virginia Lottery’s Money Mania game. He immediately scratched the ticket in the store but didn't realize he won.
When he took the ticket home, his family realized he won. And their reaction wasn't so calm.

"We were jumping up and down!" said his granddaughter.
He bought his winning ticket at Gateway Newsstand, 1691 Crystal Square Arcade in Arlington.

Centeno won the top prize in Money Mania, which has prizes starting at $20. The odds of scoring that top prize are 1 in 367,200. The odds of winning any prize in this game are 1 in 3.
He is the fifth person to claim the game’s top prize, and five more remain unclaimed.
