Alexandria Pet Of The Week: Adoption Fees Paid For Lovable Lisa

ALEXANDRIA, VA — If you're looking for part exercise buddy, part couch potato, a senior pet like Lisa might be for you. Lisa is one of the adoptable pets from the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria.

Described as a "squishy face lovebug" by AWLA staff, Lisa is a perfect companion for walks and snuggling. Her adoption fees have been paid by a donor.

Lisa, 8-Year-Old Gray Female Pit Bull Terrrier (or is she???) Hiya! My name is Lisa, and I may look like a dog, but that's actually just my Halloween costume. In fact, I am part land hippo and part aardvark. But my friends at the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria say that I am a 100% squishy face lovebug! I am so ready to find a family to call my own. I am kinda selective of other pups SO if you have one of those at home, we should really let the staff here set up what they call a “meet and greet” and then we can see if your pup likes a mish-mosh like myself! If you don’t have any pups at home, we can skip that step and just move into the phase of “I LOVE LISA” and we can maybe make it official. I am considered a senior as I am 8 but I am at that phase in life where I just want to go for a few good walks, lounge on the couch and snuggle hard – doesn't that sound like the best?
