Alexandria Pet Of The Week: Dash Is The Ideal Exercise Buddy

ALEXANDRIA, VA — For pets at the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria's animal shelter, the best Christmas present would be finding a new home.

One of these adoptable pets, Dash, has something to give in return. This energetic 2-year-old would be a perfect companion for walks or hikes, helping you stay motivated for New Year's resolutions. Dash would also love to show off the new tricks she's learning — maybe she can have a New Year's resolution of her own too.

Adoption fees for Dash are prepaid through the end of December as part of Home for the Pawlidays. Virtual or in-person adoption appointments are available at AlexandriaAnimals.org/Adopt-By-Appointment. Note that AWLA is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. by appointment on Dec. 24 and 31 and closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
