ALEXANDRIA, VA — Foodies, rejoice: Alexandria Restaurant Week returns for a summer rendition from Aug. 20 to 29.

Hosted by Visit Alexandria, the restaurant week is held twice per year in winter and summer since 2009. More than 70 restaurants are participating in the summer restaurant week in 2021, either offering a $49 in-person or to-go dinner for two. Nearly 50 of these participating restaurants will also offer an option for solo diners: a $25 in-person or to-go dinner for one. The solo dining special was launched in January 2021 due to request from diners during the pandemic.

Restaurant week showcases the innovative eateries around the city, from Old Town and Carlyle to Del Ray and the West End. New restaurant week participants include the riverfront Ada’s on the River, Northern-style Chinese restaurant KungFu Kitchen, and Thai restaurant duo Sisters Thai and the Magnolia Dessert Bar. An online menu book is available as a full guide to restaurant week menus.
