A City of Alexandria employee witnessed an unconscious woman being dragged out of a car and left there. She knew just what to do.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- A City of Alexandria employee has been praised for saving an unconscious woman dumped in a parking lot Wednesday.

NBC Washington reports that Wendy Irving was on a lunch break at Juliano's Pizzeria just outside the city when she saw a car pull up. She witnessed a man drag an unconscious woman out and flee in the car.

Irving performed CPR, which first responders later said saved the woman's life. She has worked at Alexandria’s Department of Recreation for almost 24 years and took CPR training for the job.
