Art Exhibit Reception at Vola Lawson Animal Shelter
Opening reception Friday for 'Rescue Me,' a collaboration between Del Ray Artisans and AWLA.

An opening reception kicks off 7-9 p.m. Friday for “Rescue Me,” an art exhibit at the Vola Lawson Animal Shelter at 4101 Eisenhower Ave. in Alexandria.
The exhibit is a collaboration between Del Ray Artisans and AWLA. It runs from through Jan. 25, 2015.
Companion animals who share their love with humans are the subject matter for this second exhibit featured at the shelter. Artwork includes paintings, drawings, collages, photography, and mixed media inspired by the animals. Twenty percent of all proceeds go to the AWLA. Art makes great holiday gifts.
