Best Buy Celebrating Its New Look Saturday

Best Buy is celebrating the “reimagining” of its Potomac Yard location on Saturday with giveaways and an appearance from former Washington Redskins standout Clinton Portis.

Breakfast fare will be served beginning at 8:30 a.m. At 9:45 a.m., the store will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to signal the completion of its interior renovation and make a check presentation to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington.

When the doors open at 10 a.m., the first 300 customers 18 years old or older will receive a gift bag with a mystery gift card valued between $10 and $1,000. The first 25 kids under 18 will receive free Geek Squad T-shirts.

Customers will also have an opportunity to have their picture taken with Portis beginning at noon. Wristbands will be distributed to meet Portis beginning two hours prior to his arrival on a first-come, first-serve basis. There’s a maximum of one wristband per person.
