Bombay Curry Company Closes In Del Ray
The Indian restaurant had been open since 1995, serving Tandoori chicken wings, curries and more.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—Bombay Curry Company has closed at 2607 Mount Vernon Avenue in Del Ray, the owners announced on Jan. 3. The Indian restaurant had been open since 1995.
Owners Nicky and Balraj Bhasin announced the closure via a Facebook post. The decision resulted from "staffing challenges, a need for Balraj to focus on his health, as well as some family matters that have been put on the back burner for quite some time."
The owners will retire with the closing, but they don't plan to stop cooking. "Retirement is not what it used to be, and we look forward to continuing this journey through different ventures such as cooking classes, special dinners at our home, as well as a few surprises up our sleeves," reads the Bhasins' statement.
