Burglar Who Stabbed Man, 84, in Alexandria Sentenced to 25 Years: Report

DC man burglarized home in Jefferson Park in January; he tied up a man and woman and stole jewelry, police said.

A D.C. man pleaded guilty today to stabbing an Alexandria man in January and has been sentenced to 25 years in prison, according to a report by The Washington Post.

The City of Alexandria indicted Horace White, 53, of Washington, D.C., in March on seven counts for the stabbing of an 84-year-old man at a Jefferson Park home in Alexandria. White was charged with burglary while armed, malicious wounding, two counts of robbery, two counts of abduction and carjacking.

The man and a woman, 84, were returning to the home in the 400 block of Jackson Place when they interrupted a burglary by White, according to police. White stabbed the man and then tied the two up in a bedroom and stole jewelry from the home, according to the Post report. The woman was then forced to drive White to the Braddock Road metro station.
