Class size: 5-12 participants

Come to play and experiment freely, and leave with pages started and 
ideas you can continue exploring long after the class ends. Junk 
Journaling blends the art of collage with the practice of journaling, 
offering a playful, low-pressure way to explore creativity without 
worrying about perfection. The emphasis is on curiosity, intuition, 
experimentation, and discovering your own expressive style.
In this workshop, you’ll learn practical techniques for collage, 
layering, and composition, and receive guidance on using found paper, 
packaging, tags, embellishments, and everyday “junk” to create layered, 
expressive journal pages that reflect your personal perspective and 
storytelling style.
Please bring your own journal. If you don’t have one yet, 
high-quality paper will be provided so you can experiment and create 
during class. All other supplies will be included, such as paper, 
ephemera, stickers, tape, glue, and basic tools. You’re also welcome to 
bring old photographs, mementos, or personal collage materials you enjoy
 using, especially items that hold meaning for you.
This beginner-friendly class is open to teenagers and adults of all skill levels.

As America celebrates their 250th birthday this year, come join us in celebrating with a concert honoring and highlighting American composers and music! Our free concert, A Journey Through American Music, will highlight American artists and composers throughout America's musical history. From jazz to marches to film music and everything in between, come join us on Saturday, June 6 at Leonard "Chick" Armstrong Rec Center for a fun and engaging musical time celebrating America's past and bright future. Our concert is at 3pm, but come by at 2pm for fun, family activities that will include games, crafts, and an instrument petting zoo where you can learn more about the individual band instruments. Perfect for beginners and artists alike, this mosaic class offers a 
fun, relaxed way to get creative. We will take you from a blank board to
 a polished varnished mosaic masterpiece.
Learn the basics of mosaic fabrication by first drawing a geometrical
 design on a 10-inch MDF board. With guidance every step of the way, 
you’ll work with a special clay and learn to roll and sculpt it for the 
design, and then paint it with vibrant acrylic colors. The finishing 
touches include setting shimmering mirrors on the design and adding the 
final gloss and protection with a coat of varnish.
All supplies are included in the supplies fee.

Taste of Del Ray is one of Virginia Living Magazine‘s top food festivals in the state. Visit the <a href="https://www.visitdelray.com/events/17th-annual-taste-of-del-ray/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Del Ray Business Association website for details on the 17th annual Taste of Del Ray</a>.
The event will take place on Sunday, June 7 from 1-3pm at the Mount 
Vernon Recreation Center fields next to the gallery. Purchase tickets in
 advance on Eventbrite (link will be added once available). Only 500 
general admission and 100 VIP tickets will be sold.
VIP benefits include a wine tasting at Del Ray Artisans gallery from 
11:30am-1pm and early admission to the food festival starting at 12pm. Note: The wine tasting is only for individuals 21 and older (IDs will be checked) who have Taste of Del Ray VIP tickets.
Tickets are not yet available. 
 
Del Ray Artisans is a member of the Del Ray Business Association. The 
gallery is open to the public until 6pm on Sunday, June 7th.

Del Ray's favorite food event returns on Sunday, June 7!
Top area restaurants are slated to participate in the 17th Annual Taste of Del Ray! The event, named one of Virginia Living Magazine's top food festivals in the state, will take place on Sunday, June 7 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mount Vernon Recreation Center fields.
Ticket holders will enjoy a wide range of tastes from top Del Ray restaurants and can cast their votes for the People's Choice award. Participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for ALIVE!, to support our neighbors in need.
A VIP ticket option is also available, giving foodies the first bites! A VIP wine tasting will take place at the Del Ray Artisans gallery from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with early admission to the food festival starting at 12 p.m. Note: The VIP reception is for individuals 21 and older, IDs will be checked upon entry. PLEASE BRING YOUR ID to the event -- no exceptions will be made.
Hurry and get your tickets -- this event sells out every year; only 500 general admission and 100 VIP tickets will be sold.
