• FCPD seeks man who reportedly climbed on car hood in Springfield to demand money (ffxnow.com) — Police are asking Franconia-area residents to help identify a man who allegedly climbed onto a woman’s car hood in Springfield, demanded money, and threatened her and her child. The incident happened June 14 on Montgomery Street, and anyone with information is urged to call the Franconia Police Station to speak with detectives. 
• Sounds of Summer: Local Concerts in Fairfax County (fairfaxcounty.gov) — Free outdoor concerts are headed to Franconia District Park this summer, including Rocksteady Project on July 1 and Junkyard Band on August 12. Part of Fairfax County’s Summer Entertainment Series, these shows invite neighbors to bring chairs, picnic, and enjoy live music close to home alongside performances at other parks countywide.
