Dr. Keener is a leading researcher on Automatic License Plate Readers (ALPRs), board member at the Justice Forward Virginia Foundation, assistant professor of criminology at CNU in VA, and director of the Center for Crime, Equity, and Justice Research and Policy.
ALPRs are high-speed, AI-enabled cameras used to identify drivers and pinpoint their location. This digital dragnet captures license plate data and other images of every traveler. ALPRs feed billions of scans into centralized databases. These systems provide tremendous power to track our movements by the government agencies and private tech companies that use and abuse them. Application deadline: Monday, September 14, 2026 by midnight
Del Ray Artisans’ Alcove is a gift shop within the gallery, where 
members (who apply and are accepted) display and sell their work. 
Unframed 2-D works are available in bins alongside jewelry, fiber art, 
wood craft, ceramics, and other smaller 3-D items.
The work will be displayed for two months, and as pieces are sold 
they can be replaced with similar work for no additional fee. This 
opportunity is independent of the monthly exhibits and is only open to

In this brand-new hour of sketch comedy, Bad Medicine takes aim at the people, institutions, and ideas that have become larger than life. From political landmarks and crumbling infrastructure to cultural icons and everyday institutions that somehow refuse to die, nothing is too sacred or too structurally unsound.
Come celebrate the grandeur, question the legacy, and laugh at the potholes beneath it all. Bad Medicine is building A Monument to Comedy and unlike most projects in the District, this one might actually be finished on time.

business online. The class focuses on building confidence, improving 
visibility, and creating engaging content. You must bring your own 
laptop or tablet to follow along and practice during the session.
During the workshop, you will:
