Campagna Center Building To Become Condos In Alexandria: Report

ALEXANDRIA, VA—J Street Companies has revealed plans to turn the current Campagna Center building into condominiums.

Washington Business Journal first reported the plans for 418 S. Washington Street. There is no word on how many condos would be made, but the space will be converted and get additional space. Retail is a possibility.

The company told the news site The Campagna Center will go to a new location "after the deal closes." The Campagna Center is a nonprofit offering programs for Alexandria children and families and hosts the annual Scottish Christmas Walk Weekend.

According to a listing posted last year on behalf of the Campagna Center, the building dates back to the 1800s and is zoned for office and some residential uses.
