Arrest in Del Ray Bank Robbery: Police

The Alexandria police announced Thursday that they arrested a city man for a bank robbery last month in Del Ray.

Kegni Omar Granados, 27, of Alexandria has been charged with robbery and is being held without bond in the city jail, police said.

The heist took place at the SunTrust Bank at 2809 Mount Vernon Ave. At t 12:15 p.m. on May 27, the suspect entered the bank and passed the teller a note demanding money, the police said.

The teller complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries, the police said.
