Cycle Studio To Offer Free Rides For Moms In Del Ray

ALEXANDRIA, VA—Del Ray cycling studio Ascend Cycle + Underground has a special offer for moms to mark Mother's Day. Free rides for moms will be available on Sunday, May 12.

Ascend Cycle owner Kathryn Zajac, a mom of two, wanted to do something special for moms. The promotion is a gesture of gratitude for moms who add workouts to their busy schedules and support the small business.

Several free classes will be offered for those who sign up. Interested moms can email info@ascendcycle.com to book one of the following classes:

• Ascend 50, the studio's signature ride, using their proprietary training zone and peak zone training methodology.
  • 9:15 a.m. with Michelle K
  • 10:30 a.m. with Caitlin W
  • 4 p.m. with fellow mom Kirsten B

• Ascend 30/30: Ride/HIIT, the studio's most challenge class, which includes a 30-minute ride in the cycling studio followed by a 30-minute high intensity interval training workout in Ascend Underground.
  • 11:45 a.m. with husband and wife duo Kirsten (cycling) and Alex (HIIT) Barbato
